Value Based Classes

16th July was a day to rejoice and learn outside the walls of classroom subjects. Ethics refers to the guidelines for conduct, that address question about morality. The value of life is not based on how long we live but how much we contribute to others. The aim of Value Education for students is not only to understand the value, but also to reflect them in their attitudes and behavior and contribute to society through good citizenship ethics.

Today’s seminar on Symphony of Head and Heart of Values was conducted in the school to build and make aware the importance of values that build a sound mind and a sound heart to live a life of worthy.

After the assembly Principal introduced and welcomed the resource persons of the day Fr. Ashwin, Fr. Denzil, Fr. Lancy, Fr. Roshan, Fr. Jawahar, Fr. Jithesh and floral welcome was given to them. After the ice-breaking session, children were divided into four groups and sessions were conducted. After every hour they exchanged the classes and motivated the children to build a healthy mind in a healthy body.

Children were made to understand the basic things that foul their mind. Topics related to dealing with anger and its effects were highlighted. Every day children succumb to their fears. They were made to realize how fear can put down and ruin one’s life. Impact of a Righteous leader can play a vital role. Tips on becoming a good leader was dealt with. Human dignity was another point in which children learnt its importance in life. Resource persons used music, videos and PowerPoint to make their sessions interesting. Children enjoyed the day. They learnt to be winners and not quitters. Speakers too had a good appreciation on the behavior and active participation on the part of the students.

Neeriksha Alva of IX B was the master of the ceremony. Narasimha of X B gave the feedback on the day’s seminar. Vidhya of IXA proposed the Vote of thanks. It was an enthusiastic day.
